Installation Instructions

Follow These instructions to install your add-ins.

1- Un-zip the file you downloaded from our download page.

2- Close your Excel program if it is open.

3- Save the file with the ".xla" extension to your hard drive. You can save it to any location, however Trend Engines recommends you save it to C:/Documents and Settings/user/Application Data/Microsoft/Add-ins, where "user" is your user name. This is where Excel will most likely expect it.  In any case, remember where you put it.  You will need it in step 5.  If the downloaded file has a .xls extension, it is an Excel workbook.  You can store it anywhere and open it like any other workbook.

4- Open Excel.

5- Click "Tools" then "Add-ins". A small new window will open showing all of the add-ins that are installed in your computer. If the file you have just downloaded is not on the list, click the "Browse" button and browse to the location that you stored the file to in step 3.

6- Once you have located your add-in on the list, click the little box in front of its name.  A small check mark will appear.

7- Click OK and your add-in will be installed. Your add-in will run whenever you click the appropriate button on the Trend Engine Toolbar.
